Will storm damage repairs make my insurance go up?

After a disaster, insurance companies may raise everyone's rates in a given location due to repair claims. By not filing your claim, your personal rate increase is paying for everyone else's storm damage repair claims...except yours. Call Home Image Renovations today and ensure the investment you made in your home is protected. Also keep in mind that you do not need to accept a rate increase. We can recommend ways to handle this situation with your insurance company as well as recommend alternate insurance companies that take care of their homeowners.

If I think my roof has been damaged, what signs should I look for?

On the inside of your house, specifically in your attic area, check to see if sunlight is shining through, if there are darker spots or streaks, or if the insulation is wet. You can also check for sagging, sloping, or any signs of water damage. On the outside, you can check around the perimeter of your home to see if there are any blown off shingles, any shingles flapping in the wind, or just call us for a free assessment of your property.

If my roof is not leaking, can I assume there was no hail damage?

Waiting for a potential leak after a hail storm could prove to be a costly mistake. The hesitation in getting an issue addressed in a timely manner could cause the condition of your roof to worsen and allow water to penetrate the protective structure of your home for years unnoticed. Unnoticed water can lead to mold and structural damage that could have been avoided with a preventative phone call.

What is the total out-of-pocket expense for the insurance work?

All approval for the insurance work is given by and paid for by the insurance company. Therefore, the only responsibility for the work approved by the insurance company is the insurance deductible as agreed upon between yourself, the insured, and your insurance company in your insurance policy.

If any additional work should be desired by the property owner, that work would need to be requested by and paid for by the property owner if not covered by the insurance company as justifiable damage.
